Children’s Art Wall Series: Papier-mâché Animal Heads

THIS IS A TWO-PART PROGRAM.

We'll create our own papier-mâché mounted animal heads during the first workshop! Any animal you want! We'll have some reference materials and there will be instruction to help you construct your forms. We'll start promptly at 3:15 with constructing our heads. We'll need the entire time to construct and paper-mâché our pieces. Participants will benefit from having a parent or guardian present to assist. Children under 6 will have a difficult time with this project without extensive adult assistance.
The second workshop will be dedicated to painting, decorating, and mounting our pieces. Pieces will be prepped and primed to allow maximum decorating time. This part should require less adult assistance, but parents and guardians are always welcome to participate.

Children's Art Wall Series

Our Children’s Art Wall Series is a month-long series of art programs leading up to our Children’s Art Show in December. All art made during these programs will he held at the library and then displayed in the show. There will be an opening reception for the Children’s Art Show on Saturday, December 2nd. Artworks will be on display for the entire month of December. Artists can collect their works in January.
